Squabbo Sites chosen to develop/host campaign website for Ottawa City Council 2010 candidate Julia Ringma

Squabbo Sites has landed the website development/hosting of another candidate running in the 2010 City of Ottawa municipal elections. College Ward candidate Julia Ringma has her site up and running thanks to the quick turn service offered by Squabbo. Julia Ringma says:

“Squabbo Sites quick turnaround allowed me to get a site up fast which in turn let me begin work on the growing content while we finalized the look. Responsiveness to requests such as the countdown clock were also handled quickly and effectively.”

The site incorporates a WordPress MySQL database, several information pages, a customizable calendar, a candidate blog and a countdown counter to Election Day which was specifically requested by the campaign. Additionally, a graphic of the candidate was customized with a background photo and the website title as part of the initial set up.

True to our word, the site is clean, simple and was up quickly allowing the Ringma campaign to inform potential voters about the candidates stance on issues.

The site is built using the Mondo Zen 2.2 theme by Catarina Yamamoto as a base. You can view the site at this link. http://www.juliaringma.ca .

Squabbo Sites chosen to develop/host campaign website for Ottawa Council candidate Allan Hubley

The Ottawa election campaign is on and Ward 23 candidate Allan Hubley has selected Squabbo Sites to develop and host his campaign website.

The site includes several information pages, a contact us form and a volunteer/lawn sign form.  There is also a photo gallery as well as an internal (password protected) calendar that the campaign team can edit and review to see where Allan needs to be throughout the campaign.

We also enabled a simple secure encrypted donation page that allows the campaign to confirm donor identity and process the donation via their own terminal.

Graphically we did a quick touch up to include Allan’s picture in the header, adjusted a bit of colour as per the campaign request and provided a simple favicon showing Allan’s initials up next to the page name/URL.

Allan Hubley’s campaign manager, Colin McSweeney says “Squabbo Sites got our campaign site up and running quickly and easily which has let us start our campaign far sooner than other candidates.  They came in underbudget which was great but the biggest surprise for us was the responsiveness to requests for specific tweeks to our site.  I would encourage anyone who needs to get a generic website up quickly to give them a call.”
